Must-Visit Destination: Cardiff Castle, Wales
Sofie from Wonderful Wanderings says:
I only had 24 hours to explore Cardiff in Wales and visiting the castle was a must for me - I'm a big fan of castles and always find it fascinating trying to imagine how people used to live in them. Cardiff Castle was definitely no disappointment.
The tour inside the castle showed me an array of interior design styles and beautiful woodwork. I got to see the large dining room which is still in use today and has welcomed esteemed guests from all over the world, while visiting the library provided a look into the daily life of previous inhabitants.
This photo was taken from atop the castle walls. As a visitor, you can both enter the tunnels within the walls, where there's an exhibition about the use of the castle during World War II, or use them to get a great view of the city... and the castle, like I had when taking this photo.
