If you are looking for a place to stay in Brussels that is slightly away from the Grand Place and tourist traffic, consider booking an Airbnb Rental at this loft I stayed at south of Grand Place.
The 180 square meter industrial loft is a well designed true loft with large windows spanning across the apartment. The loft furniture is sectioned perfectly so you still get a feel of "home" and respective rooms.
It has a 4.5 star Airbnb rating from 92 reviewers!
You get a HUGE bathroom which includes a shower fit for two and a separate toilet room. Standard kitchen amenities are provided in a modern aesthetic, including a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and kitchenware.
WiFi is GREAT. You know that's a deal breaker.
Linens, towels, and other basic essentials are also included. It's pretty much your own home.
Located in the heart of Brussels, only a short walk (15 minutes) from Grand Place.
The Anneessens metro station is at 50 meters from the loft and the Brussels South train station (Gare du Midi) with bullet (TGV, Thalys) trains to and from Paris, Amsterdam, London, Lille and Cologne is 15 minutes walking or 2 stops by tramway.
The best part of staying here was diverse culture in the area. People of all cultural backgrounds live here so you are guaranteed to find great food from an array of countries! There was also a carnival when we visited so lots of street foods and games/rides to participate in.
In the apartment itself, there was an array of hidden perks. From a cute children's playroom (great for families) to scatter tourist tips on vintage postcards and flyers, I felt almost sleuth-like discovering all of the detail and attention put into the loft. You'll enjoy the surprises without a doubt!
With an average nightly price of $120 USD for the entire apartment, this loft runs parallel with hotels in the area. It accommodates four people and you get a way bigger space. The space, bathroom shower, and kitchen facilities make it a GO for me.
