Secret Adventure Destination: Hunza, Pakistan
This week's #TravelTuesday spotlight is of traveler, The Broke Backpacker's stunning photo of Pakistan.
Founder, Will Hatton shares: "This shot was taken from Karimabad Fort which overlooks the historical silk-road leading all the way from China to Europe. In times gone by, bandits would constantly attack merchants attempting to travel the road and so local chieftains and kings built forts to watch over the merchants and, of course, extract a hefty ‘protection fee’. Today, Karimabad is a small town in the foothills of the Pakistani Himalayas and is the perfect place to plan a trek within the many might mountains nearby."
