If you’re looking for a slice of paradise in one of Australia’s most beautiful beach towns, look no further than Elements of Byron. Located just outside the central hub of Byron Bay, Elements has it all: an endless lagoon pool, grounds that are quintessentially Australian with bushland and beaches, stylishly designed interiors, and a sumptuous spa.

I was visiting Byron Bay for a long weekend break with my UK-based parents and knew I wanted to take them somewhere special; somewhere that would fuse style and luxury with the beachside vibes that Australia is so well known for.

Having visited Elements of Byron before, I knew it would be the perfect place to show them Byron at its very best.

Inside: Elements of Byron Villa

We stayed in one of the two-bedroom villas that overlooked a soothing lake, nestled in the heart of the Eucalyptus forest and wetlands.

Our villa had an outdoor eating area, perfect for alfresco drinks as the sun set, two en-suite bedrooms, and a central living space complete with a fully equipped kitchen.

The crème de la crème of stylish sleeping; from the freestandingj bathtubs to the indulgent toiletries and fully equipped mini bar, Elements of Byron clearly considered every last detail.

Just a short stroll from both the lagoon swimming pool and nearby beach, the villa location was perfect for a lazy day at the hotel or a leisurely stroll along one of Byron’s most beautiful beaches.

Health and Wellness at Elements of Byron Resort & Spa

Health and wellness are ingrained in Elements of Byron’s very core; with an onsite gym and daily yoga on offer. Guests are able to downward dog to the sound of the ocean as the sun rises at First Light Club Yoga on the beach, and the hotel offers one-on-one yoga and meditation practice for avid yogi guests.

For anyone looking to revive and rejuvenate during their stay at Elements of Byron, the onsite Osprey Spa does not disappoint.

Offering a number of treatments -- from relaxing rituals such as the ninety-minute Rainforest Revival or the Coastal Dunes Freedom -- to deep massages, hot stone foot renewals, and facials, it’s a prime location for anyone in need of some serious pampering.

I tried one of the spa’s signature massages and, greeted with an ambience of serenity and a herbal tea, left enveloped in a haze of pure, unadulterated bliss.

Like the rest of Byron, Elements is undoubtedly a foodie’s heaven

Breakfast is a lavish affair – with the buffet breakfast boasting chia pots, pastries, cereals, and fresh, seasonal fruit, while the a la carte menu is enough to rival your local brunch spot.

We tried the traditional Australian smashed avo, as well as corn fritters and poached eggs -- all of which tasted just as good as they looked.

While the 850,000-liter lagoon pool is a destination in itself, it's the sumptuous day beds and sun loungers serviced by the Drift Bar that caught my attention. The mouthwatering menu features smoothies for the health-conscious and colorful cocktails for guests seeking a tasty treat.

A leader in barefoot luxury

From my initial encounter with Elements of Byron's elegant lobby to cozying up in my villa and exploring the hotel’s luscious grounds, the acclaimed resort embodied luxurious comfort.

Offering endless opportunities for relaxation while surrounded by rural Australia and Byron’s most beautiful beaches, few places do barefoot luxury quite so well as Elements of Byron.
