Monteverde, CR: My new horse.

It's cold in the mornings here.

Rainy.

Hilly.

Nightfall is a blanket of stars with no way of seeing what is ten feet in front of you. There are lots of stray dogs and locals who look at me with a sense of familiarity. And I love it. There's this air of "home" and it just feels right.

I found two great things here in Monte: a horse named Pinto and a great soda serving large portions of comida tipica  for only 2,600 CRC.

I rode Pinto to the top of the mountain just in time to catch a beautiful rainbow after the day's sun shower. Pinto was kind enough to take a photo with me.
